Damages Policy.

1. Introduction

At Goodman Viticulture, we believe that your experience with our wines should be delightful. However, we know that sometimes, life's little hiccups can turn that dream into a nightmare, especially when it comes to mailing our precious bottles. This policy outlines our approach to damages incurred during postal transit of our wines.

2. Policy Statement

Goodman Viticulture is committed to ensuring that our wines arrive at your doorstep in good condition. Should a bottle/s arrive damaged, we want to make the rectification process as smooth as possible.

3. Applicability

This policy applies to all customers who purchase Goodman Viticulture packages through our website or direct orders.

4. Reporting Damages

If your wine arrives looking like it lost a battle with a grizzly bear, you must report the damage to us within 48 hours of delivery. To do this:

  • Take a photo or video of the damaged external packaging.

  • Snap a photo or video of the damaged wine bottle.

  • Email this information to admin@goodmanviticulture.com with a brief description on how you found the package.

This Damage Report information is important to GV moving forward. It will help us to improve our packaging and shipping processes.

5. Resolution Process

Once we receive your Damage Report, we will follow the process below:

  • Investigation: We’ll assess the damage and determine if it was due to inadequate packaging or postal mishandling.

  • Compensation: If approved, you can decide to receive replacement bottles or a refund for the total purchase amount.

Please note: we will not refund for damages that occur due to misuse, mishandling after delivery.

6. Packaging Guidelines

To avoid postal dramas, we strive to use the finest packaging materials in all of our packages. When shipping our wine packages, we:

  • Use shredded pine for shock prevention.

  • Thick cardboard inserts, and a strong outer box for minimising damage from external bumps and knocks.

  • Clearly label all parcels as “fragile”

7. Limitation of Liability

While we pour our heart into packaging and shipping our wines, Goodman Viticulture is not liable for:

  • Lost or stolen packages once they have left our packaging facility.

  • Damages caused by circumstances beyond our control.

8. Amendments

Goodman Viticulture reserves the right to amend this policy whenever we feel it is time for an update. The date of our updates will be shown at the top of this page.

9. Our Commitment

With this policy, we aim to create a light-hearted yet effective approach to dealing with damages. After all, wine should always be enjoyed, not wallowed over!
